 Governor Spitzer frequents prostitutes!  Spitzer had no grace, had no compassion and not many allies.  Not since the Rega's, the Big mouthed foul mouthed owners of Adelphia Cable...

No big surprise here, as a former attorney general he was in charge of prosecuting crime in NY State and this is just further proof of the what is over looked by everyone in New York State.

Its the prevalence of corruption and organized crime at all levels of government. Worst yet it is that we are all resigned to it , we all tolerate it as normal, we all turn a blind eye to it. It is all over looked by almost everyone. It is the reason the economy of NY is always shown as marginal.

While Spitzer was going after multinational companies as attorney general he completely overlooked organized crime in NY, he even learned to live with it and benefited from it by frequenting high priced prostitutes.

Lets not forget Spitzer also wanted to Go after The Native Americans irking pout an existence selling tax free cigarettes and gasaloline. Spitzer had no grace, had no compassion and not many allies. Not since the Rega's, the Big mouthed foul mouthed owners of Adelphia Cable that when after our volunteer firemen for pirating cable when he should have been donating it to them for free and taking the tax write off, has there been such a hated person with so many people cheering for failure as Spitzer's.

I not a prude and some people need what they can't get at home, but it was either arrogance thinking he would not get caught and he's above the law or ignorance or familiarity and acceptance of organized crime as business as usual in NY State that lead to his continuous use of a prostitution ring.

Maybe his wife can run as Hilary Clintons running mate for VP of the USA, they could be the scorned woman that stand behind their men ticket for president and vice president of the USA.

As the prohibition of Liquor proved in the past you can't successfully regulate the morals of the US population. When alcohol was prohibited, it lead to the foundation of organized crime and the strengthening and funding of  organized crime making them a force to be reckoned with that never went away , which all developed to fill the need of Americans for alcohol when deprived by the government. When probation was repealed, they moved into drugs and prostitution and gambling.

It seems to me that we should legalize prostitution, recreational drug use, and sports gambling. That way we could regulate, tax and provide for public safety and force organized crime to become just organized legal businesses  that pay most of there taxes and have no more need for the crime designation.
